Wovenwar - Honor Is Dead

So much of the story and meaning behind music is artistically veiled. Understandably so, as the universal appeal of art is that its consumer can make their own interpretations and apply it to themselves as they see fit. This record offered the same opportunity for expression and sonic therapy as its predecessor, though the message is less optimistic and more cynically focused than our debut release.

As individuals, we were experiencing personal turmoil, pressure, and tensions that seeped into our band dynamic. Experience and professionalism allowed us to complete this recording, though the spirit of who we were with one another began to degrade over time. This record represents the harsher side of artistically processing life. It is honest and for that I find it beautiful.

I look forward to working on more music with the guys whenever our schedules align again, especially my childhood friend Shane Blay.
